just buying my first horse, she is currently in a nathe bit at the moment, but would suit rubber, advice on wether to get a nathe or rubber (nathe around £45) and what ring size? (shes 15.1/15.2) cheers
Nathe tends to give a slimmer mouthpiece than rubber, which can be too bulky for many horses. If you do decide to try rubber make sure it's soft rubber (vulcanised rubber is a lot harder than nathe) & is made with a chain running through the middle for safety. As for size, ask the seller what size she's in now.
Personally I'd stick with what she's used to, at least until she's settled down in her new home.
