National Award ... is it equivalent to a certain NVQ Level?

I have a certificate for passing the National Award in Horse Management. I was just wondering is the equivalent to a certain Level of NVQ? I am now currently working towards my NVQ Level 2 as a working apprentice at an Equestrian Centre. I have been told in the past that the National Award course i did is Equivalent to passing NVQ Level 3... is this true?

I have my NA in Equine Management and understood it to be the equivalent of 1 or 2 A levels and therefore would assume Level 3 NVQ but not 100%.....am sure somewhere in the cogs of my brain that Stage 3 is same level as NVQ 3 so that would make the NA about the same, will ask my instructor as she works at the local equine college.
