Well, first things first - dont think we will be going back there!
Emma and me both enterd the in-hand uner 14.2's just to see how they felt as the heat was creaping up. Both went qiute well, monty decided to canter instead of trot up! But overall they looked nice and showed some nice work - Neither placed, thought oh well, more classes to come see how thing go (some very strange placings)
Next emma had the most appealing pony class only needed to stand, not trot up etc. They had a small girl 'judging' this class (about 6ish i would say?) She kept going up and stroking Monty and pointing to him but the adults there kept whispering to her. He ended up 4th.
Next was monty again this time juniur Handler, when qiute nicely, a little lazy but not bad - unplaced. Then came the corker of the day! Fancy Dress! I have to say they looked really nice, and so did some others - he was unplaced!!! Mum heard the judge tell the young girl who was judging again not to pick a small pony becuase she chose one last time! - i thought it was down to the outfit? Really annoyed with this as some of the placed horses really did not look that good. All the placing were 14hands and above i would say and the small ponies didn't get a look in.
I didn't get into any jumping classes untill about 2.30pm (my class should of started at 12! by this time a am a little annoyed due to the judging in the showing and how slow the jumping was - they had a 30min break between classes! and we waited ages for people in other rings!
I was in the piussance first and WON! so happy about that at least! Went up to 4'2
Then went into the pairs jumping 2'6 and came second! and did he Accumulater and won that to! So harry is back on form bless his cottens!
Sadly Harry had a bad turn in the accumulater (totally my fault) and he has caught him correnet (sp?) band and is trotting up a little short on it up have hosed him down and creamed him up and hpoefully be right as rain in a few days!
Sorry if a sound a sore loser, but i was really miffed (esp as it cost me £46 in entries!)
