My boy apparently qualified for and competed in the 2005 HT Championships in Peterborough. He hasn't done anything since and I got him in October 2007 but my goal for 2008 is to get through to the finals again. Is there any rule stopping me doing this??

If it is the riding club ones then the championships are now held at Aston Le Walls. You will need to find out when your area qualifier is as some will have already been held. The BRC competition years runs from 1st April to 31st March, so even though the finals for 2007 are due to be held in June of 2008 they are still the 2007 championships.

Horses cannot have more than 20 BE points to compete in the open section, although you can downgrade by three points for each year that the horse remains unregistered with BE. To compete in the novice section the horse can have no points at all, & all eligibility is at the close of preliminary entry (21 days prior to qualifier).

Good, we have no BE points that's for sure !!! It is the RC one and I'd seen that it had moved but I just wasn't sure if we were barred from entering if he'd got to the final before.

Been out of the horse world up until a year ago and feel like a complete pleb now !

Thanks for your help
