I have a welsh sec d. I am struggling to find a comfortable, versatile saddle sutiable for both showing and pleasure riding.
What are all you other native horsey owners using or recommend??

I have a section C and an Ideal working hunter saddle - went for the suede seat and knee rolls. Love it.

I've always found Ideal showing saddles are good for natives. I've got Highlands and Ideal have always been the best fit for them.

I have had endless problems with a sensitive young native pony. Have used an ideal which are supposed to fit very well- he liked it till it was totally reflocked to him!! lol. I have also used a thorougood cob- he hated it!! Had best results with a half panel saddle which are supposed to fit round native types v well :)

I am really not the alternative type of saddle person, but would definitely buy another one of these as they are not treeless just sit on the horse in another way, with weight bearing panels taking all the weight. Just putting it out there :)
