Had a farrier once insist that both my horses needed natural balance (as in his opinion all horses did). Both horses went lame very soon after.
I'm sure it helps some horses just not mine, they had no problems beforehand being shod normally.

He felt they suited his foot shape better (plus has slightly upright pasterns & is a very tall horse) and also because billy is turned out on a field with a steep decline, which he takes great pleasure in galloping as fast as he can down the hill which resulted in a lot of pulled shoes :p
He rarely pulls a shoe now with the NB shoes!

Tbh when he changed from normal shoes to NB I didn't feel bill moved any different when riding him or when watching him in the field. Plus the price never changed for a set of shoes! He has had them for about a year now I think:)

Another on to use them. I'm very careful about hoof/pastern axis being correct, and I've had a couple here whose toes got too long. I've always found the NB shoes to make a huge difference, and I've never had on go lame!

I put them on my boy after the farrier [world class farrier and big noise in WCF] talked them up at an evening discussion, he had perfect feet, but after shoeing felt as though he was on tiptoes. I would not use them on a normal horse. Of course I gave up using shoes anyway.
