Naughty pony tanked OUT of the school!!

hmmm Kimblewicks are also on sale in Tesco, perhaps I should buy one of those too (no...bad Bex..must stop shopping!) - it's definitely my next one to try after the pelham.

HR - the cherry roller is supposed to stop him grabbing the bit but obviously that didn't happen last night

It has however improved his canter, as he couldn't launch himself at it when striking off into canter and had to push himself from behind a bit more (if that makes sense - that's how it feels when riding him anyway).

Oh dear it sounds like you have been having lots of fun and games - hope you're ok! Getting the bit right seems to be pretty tricky, I have George in a dutch gag at the moment and he goes quite nicely in it, but I too have the trot to canter problem and he just runs. In the hanging cheek he popped up into canter lovely, shame I couldn't stop him though!! Oh well it's a good job he's such a poppet and I love him so much!

you could always use www.shop4bits.com, that way you can trial a few bits for £2/£3 I think, then send any back that dont work. As someone above has suggested I really like my waterford helps a lot and stopped pickles head to chest and bomb it! I also have a waterford gag

Gorgeous_George - that sounds familiar - Murphy went into a lovely canter last night in the cherry roller, just a shame it carried on out of the gate!

Bits are sucha confusing thing!

Thanks for the link jessrulesdaworld
