Hi all, Im new to the Shetland world and recently bought two mares, one of which is a yearling. The eldest, honey is a dream, can tell she was handled lots but mini (yearling) is a nightmare! Shes a dream in the field mostly, can be protective of food. But the real issue is that she hasnt got much experience with leading, casual walks for exercise have become rather stressful. She will refuse to walk, rear, stamp the floor, run ahead etc. Its evident she hasnt been taught properly which is frustrating because Ive never trained a Shetland. What can I do? How can I teach her? Ive been trying pressure and release but it doesnt seem to work with her, she just gets angry
