Navy based tweed?

Hi,
I am a disabled/para rider recently returned to riding after a long break. I am currently going through and updating my riding gear and still have a navy based tweed jacket that I did my ABRS tests in.
Reading various posts on correct dress it appears that navy based tweed isn't actually correct to wear for anything in the UK and I am wondering whether to get a brown or green based tweed one instead so that if I do any more exams I won't be worrying about being incorrect and I will still have a back-up jacket for occasions when a black jacket is a bit OTT.
What do you think?

When I was competing I wore a blue based tweed if that colour suited the horse best .
I think you will be fine I would not rush out and buy another jacket .

I think green is the fashionable tweed at the moment. We sell any more green tweeds than blue. However if you have say, a grey, then blue really suits it. Add a red tie with blue spots or similar & you will look really smart :)

Thanks, Longdog,
Hoping to start a pony share in May after I finish my Stage 1 course and he is a grey cob but not sure if I will be able to compete as I have no transport, need to see what the local show situation is. The pony is based in the Wakefield area but I have been riding at Middleton Park RDA group in Leeds so up until now have only done RDA competitions there or at Hartpury on RDA horses, never done any independent competing apart from when I was a kiddie and still able bodied so getting very nervous at the thought of having no-one to hold my hand through the transition. Will still be riding with RDA as well.
