My TB used to have a gorgeous thick, lovely neck. However he was starved by a girl who had him before me and the last 6 months i have been slowly fattening him up and trying to build muscle back up again.
i have very limited resources at my yard, so its mainly been trotting and hill work which is slowly building his muscles but his neck is very skinny and wobbly and doesnt really seem to be getting any bigger.
is there anything else i could be doing to help build his neck up?

Do you work him in an outline? If you don't, he will be building the wrong muscles, creating a ewe neck, which will look very skinny and "wobbly".

To be honest I dont do a lot of schooling on him as the manège is tiny and really only suitable for ponies. As previously mentioned I have limited facilities at my yard, iv been trying to move to a different yard for ages but no where is taking on, so im having to put up with it for now! I only have woods near me and the large areas of grass that would be ideal for schooling on have big signs saying "no horse riding" as people have complained about riders on the grass. I do what I can out hacking but it's obviously not the same. He's a well schooled horse and feels like he accepts the bit and usually works in an outline.
Just wondering if there are any tips I could be doing to improve his neck whilst out riding?
