He has his teeth checked every 6 months. tack etc ok. Back been checked out by G Schofield. ALso had a different osteo who couldnt find any real problem in back or neck Mentioned this but didnt get any feedback. anyone got any ideas ?

a horse at our yard does this when being led but not ridden, he was a stallion until he was 4yrs old, its a bit like he's trying to herd you up! maybe it might be worth looking at herd behaviour or looking at kelly marks/monty roberts websites to see if they offer an explanation?!!

Well my first thought was Get his teeth checked, but you say you do this so...... I really don't have any other ideas except do you use the vet to do teeth or a proper horse dentist? If its a vet maybe worth trying a dentist or if you use a dentist maybe a second opinion? Hope you get to the bottom of this soon. Good Luck.xx

I heard of this once, ages ago...the horse had a blocked sinus on one side. It was drained & he was fine. No more details, I'm afraid, as this was a friend-of-a-friend thing...

My horse did this when she had subtle back problems - turned out to be kissing spine - don't be alarmed ehrs was a very odd case. And she's an odd horse!

I wish I was psychic so that he could tell me exactly whats going on. You do your best with dentists, osteos, vets etc.
but its still guesswork mostly. Im still fairly sceptical about osteos, reiki etc I must admit. If it was me on the receiving end of the psychic stuff I would believe i n it ! He has been very bad today again, sometimes it doesnt happen for a few rides.Maybe an arthritis thing he does have a long neck. Vet coming out for jabs this week so I will pester him again for an opinion.
