Neck worms.....

Funnily enough I've just been reading about these! I assume they are an american parasite?
 
I think you can get them here too :confused:

Never seen them, but heard about horses that have been treated with several doses of ivermectin with itchy probs.
 
Just when we are being advised not to use too much wormer for fear of building resistance on the "normal" parasite population. Weighing one against the other I think i would rather hold back on the wormers and take the risk.
Ivermectin is effective against skin parasites too which could be why it helps with itching.
