I have decided not to clip Ned this year, as I don't think he'll be in work.
However, I didn't want to let him forget the clippers or get scared of them, so I figured I'd trim that annoying bit of hair behind the ears where the bridle sits.
He was a bit worried when I first turned them on, but soon relaxed :) he wasn't even tied!
He stood really nicely and let me clip his hair with no trouble :)

I'm so happy with him, I can now pick up his front legs just by touching his fetlock and I've not tied him up since I got to the field! He's learnt to stand so nicely :D

Sadly, the vet couldn't come out today to let me know if I can start riding again or not, but I saw him trotting today and he was really flowing! He looked like an arab :D fingers crossed for when the vet can come!

Aww, hehe! I'm blushing :)
He is such a dude! I'm in fact, thinking about doing short comics about his antics! I'm doing one about an incident that happened with Cookie yesterday :P

So, I decided to do some long-lining with Cookie yesterday after a break of almost 2 weeks! It was far too wet in the field and I can't take him out alone (because of Ned)

He was a little fresh, so when I asked him to trot, he took off at full speed! I normally never let go, but there was no way I was holding him. He went dashing off at 100mph straight towards Ned!!

Ned's face...if you could have seen it, haha!! It was a look of pure horror. They were then both galloping around the field, Cookie having a great time and Ned in an utter panic!
Cookie soon calmed down and came trotting back to me, proud as punch!

We ended on a good note, with a few circles of 8 in trot and lots of transitions! He's even starting to learn "Stand!"

Cookie planned that...:D Poor Ned, hope none of you are injured! Makes for a nice Health & Safety poster on the dangers of clever ponies and wet ground though.

Hehe I bet he did!!
We're all fine, I was cross, Cookie was over the moon and Ned was snorting for about 10mins afterwards!

He's far too clever for his own good, little git! He's doing well over all though, with his long-lining :)
