Since Ned was getting comfortable with going up the lane, I thought we'd try and push his boundaries a little today :P
Last time I tried to get the little blighter out, it took me over an hour and a half before I finally gave up and waited for my mum. This time I decided to not go with any tack on (apart from his dually and lunge line, of course!) and see if he associates saddle/bridle with being ridden...he does. He came out with very little persuasion this time and we had a great walk.

Since Mum was running late, we decided to have a play in the school :P he's such a funny lad.

Anyway! Mum arrived and we set off, towards the village! He was such a good boy! I thought he might stop, as he has to pass the field which some of his friends are in, but he had a quick look and carried on.
Not at all bothered by the caravans who decided to whoosh past me or the motorbikes or lorries! He only had one big spook and that was at small children who all rushed out to see me, silly mites had no idea how much they terrified him XD

Ah I like reading Neds updates, he is such a sweetie. I liked towards the end of the video in the menage the pony just stood there & not bothered by you & Ned popping over the jumps :D

Hehe, that pony is Mel :P she's the most chilled, laid back pony I've ever met :P You could probably gallop a whole herd past her and she's just stand there XD

I have the same problem with small children running up to speak to my horse when i ride through our village. Merlin is pretty good and will stand still, unless he knows we are heading for home when is not so patient, but I always warn the children to stay well away from his enormous cob hooves!
 
LIZ66 - He was actually very good, he didn't try and run or anything ^^ :D thankfully they only wanted to see him and not come over, or I'd have had to warn them off. He's good with kids generally...but I don't know how he'd react out and about!

Youmust be thrilled to bits with him. He is obviously much loved. And cleaver boy opening that gate with his nose and jumping the jumps too. I love these updates. Do keep them coming.
 
Lovely video! I thought I put a lot of tack and accessories on my horse, but it's nothing compared to Ned! :D

The pony in the arena is brilliant. So chilled!
