NED - Whats this all about??

I was just on NED checking that ownership details had been updated on one of my horses when I thought I would put in the name of one of my others to see how many there were of the same name.

This horse does not have a passport - absolutely guaranteed. I am not required to have a passport for any animal because I do not live in the UK I live on a British Island.

I am a member of a certain society that is claiming to have issued a passport for this horse - they never have - again guaranteed.

To add insult to this when I pressed to associate myself with the horse it comes up that the details do not match mine and I have not changed any details since becoming a member.

Whats this all about?? How can a passport issuing body claim to have issued a passport when they have not?

I don't really take much notice of the passport fiasco because it doesn't affect me in any way - but who is responsible for this horlicks ? ie who gets shouted at first

I've posted on here many times about NED being absolutely useless - I have 7 horses and ponies, and either their details are wrong, (like one has an incorrect freezemark number on NED) or they are not there although they all have passports, or they will not associate me with them because the address they have for me doesn't included my postcode so therefore can't possibly be the same ... I could go on, but I will bore you

I've given up emailing them to point out the errors because they are simply not interested.

There are two ways of associating yourself with a horse. One lets you keep record of horses you own, another section lets you link to ones that you know, but you cannot get any details. Sounds as if you have tried to use the wrong 'association' button.

I am currently trying to resolve an issue with NED. It shows that the Freezemark for one of my donkeys is actually a 158cm bay mare horse. They have recieved a copy of my registration papers, and photos of my donkey, clearly showing the freezemark. So far they have allowed both to show as having the same Freezemark, but not done anything to remove the other horse's link to the Freezemark.

Rowreach, is yours possibly the one mixed up with mine? How odd that would be!!
