Does anyone have any recommendations for fed?
New horsey needs to gain condition, but without any fizz ( he is already a bit crazy).

Anyone know anything good?

D&H Pasture Mix is great. Good quality and - as it says on the bag - "sparkle without fizz". I'm really not a brave rider but my rescue mare needs a very careful diet and was recommended D&H Pasture Mix by Prof Knottenbelt {{kneels reverently}} and as I have another horse, I didn't want 100 different bins of feed so he gets it too! BUT...I ride the 2nd horse...rescue mare is not ridden! So did NOT want fizz!!!! D&H Pasture Mix hasn't changed his outlook on life at all but he is shining with good health and condition!

One of mine is always on the light side but I cant have him fizzy either, he's always been on Baileys Top Line Cubes. They're very good. He also gets a little Alfa A Oil, soya oil (again, good for condition) and sugar beet.

Yepp Alfa A Oil and Baileys No4..Great combination.......
My old horse(TB/ID) could not have Alfa A together with sugarbeet since it did send him through the roof, but if you keep the feeding simple you should not get any fizz
When 1 of my boys dropped weight last spring he was on that combination, but when he had reached a good weight i reduced the Baileys No4 and for the last year all my horses are on a all Forage Diet with Multi Vitamins and are all doing great. Go in on www.dengie.com .

Alfa a can fizz some types up so introduce carefully. Topspec is also good... and their conditioning flakes add a few more calories. addlib hay / haylage is also a must and spring grass will do wonders!
