I used it on my old Pony Simon. Thought it was fantastic much better than shavings and cheaper to. ( I bought it straight from the place it is made so ALOT cheaper ) Alot more absorbant than shavings and easy to manage. The only reason i dont use it now is i am frightened the little ones will eat it. Simon never did, but my two will eat ANYTHING!!!
I used a bale of this the other week whilst I was waiting for our usual delivery of Bedrap- The Nedz Bedz pro was exactly the same consistency as the Bedrap that I use- its dust extracted, chopped rape straw and it had a (I think it was menthol?!) smell. Very quick to skip out and the take the wet out every 5-7 days. I generally use 1 bale a week to top up the bed. Looks nice when put down and my horses are all on this type of bedding and they don't eat it.
Aagh sorry! I have just realised it wasn't menthol- I meant Eucalyptus! I would like to think it wasn't menthol! Could'nt think of anything worse than a stable smelling of Menthol! ......
I hate it. My horse settled down to eat it, sprayed it with Jeyes Fluid and he still preffered it to his haylage!!!! (It is excellent haylage) What was left of the bed was a soggy mess the next morning.
