Ooh,, even have a little ship icon to use! Id like to take my horse to the beach , but need one that doesnt have a shingle/pebble bank or anyform of hill to navigate before I get onto the sand. Cant do that sort of ground.
Just want to walk him out and into the water and walk up and down, he is on a controlled exercise (not his idea! He will be sedated!) plan and I think the change of scenery and salt water will be good for his addled mind and legs.
Ideally inbetween Bournemouth and umm....er...Brighton? Maybe further East?
Thank you!

Warning though, you are only allowed to ride on these beaches after 7pm through the summer months (Which I think they count April - October). And top tip, make sure you pick a day when the extreme low tide is about 7.20/30 (as in still going out when you start riding)

Has a bit of a bank, but never been a problem.... It's not big /steep. I've never known a horse to have difficulties. I don't know a beach you can ride on without one...

We go to Camber Sands, a bit further east but not much. The car park where you can take horse boxes goes directly onto the beach, all sand and no dunes. Well there are dunes but you don't have to go over them to get onto the beach.

Thanks galaxy- I would check out tides before I go...I hope! Only ever been in evening before anyway. Its just that he is recovering so needs to be as flat as or there to be a boat slip way I can use. .. cant damage him more!

Stroppy p can i !!??

Not any of the concrete ramps that people back their boat trailers down? I suppose I could but last time I went it was a massive bank I was worried even for my massive fit hunter type. This one is spindly and has special needs shoes on too..

Wittering, Thorney Island or Hayling Island

With Wittering - if you contact the local livery yard, you might even be able to park there and use their private bridleway which goes straight onto the beach.

Thorney - give the Saddle Club a ring

what about ferring (worthing way) I have been on that beach when at Hangleton farm, galloped along the beach was amazing! Brighton as far as I know you can't ride on the beaches they don't even allow dogs on most of them!
