need a german translation for trailer plate....

Is it even German..... Oh hek - anyone got a sinclair treble and can tell me what it weighs and how much weight it can carry...?

Looks like it says "gesamtgewicht" which is total weight, so I think that is not the weight you can put on, but the total capacity.

Stutzlast could be the load you can put on (100kg) but with the start of the writing cut off I wouldn't like to say for sure.

As you say you need a pic of the rest, it's not the fact it's German it's the photo! :)

No probs. I don't know much about trailers! The first bit def says "total weight of single axle trailer". So whether that's the trailer you can attach, or the weight of the entire ensemble, I wouldn't like to say.

Its German but is it the trailer plate or is it the coupling plate? if its the coupling plate then its the weights just for the tow hook and not the the trailer

I have a Sinclair treble .I have found the hand book but the details aren't in there .
I will have a look at the trailer tomorrow and copy down the details from the plate on it .
It is parked in the barn and I don't want to go down now as it is cold and windy.

Oh my goodness that sheds new light on things..... I have google and googled but am struggling to find much info on such an old trailer...Your help is much appreciated.

horselib - HUGE thank you.....can you tell me a bit more about how you find the trailer to handle and tow and if you think the horses are happy in it ? Also ( sorry for all the questions) what horses do you travel as my filly I think will end up about 16.2 so headroom is an issue.

Thank you again :)

just had a german friend ring me and she said the 1350 - 2000 is the weight of the trailer that the hitch is safe to be used for and the 100 is the maximum pressure thats on the jockey wheel so you would expect the maximum weight of trailer and horses to be 2000kg for that hitch and its made to be used at over 25km an hour which relates in germany to the fact that some farm vehicles are restricted to 25km an hour so some tow hooks are made for those vehicles only and not for normal road users

I bought it brand new in 1988.We use a Land rover Defender as the towing vehicle.
We used it as a 3 trailer for some years when I had 2 big horses and a pony.
When I lost the pony I decided to get it re-partitioned (professionally) to take two horses with storage at the front . It had a new floor at the same time .It had been stored outside
so it was an ideal time to get the work done on the floor when it was re-partitioned
(It is now parked in a barn)
The horses are 16 hands and 17 hands it had enough head for them .

It tows well. My horses have always travelled well in it .
Being an aluminium body it can be moved around easily with our quad bike when empty.

Will look at the plate tomorrow.

The photo is the plate at the tow hitch and is as crabbymare says is the hitch
There is another plate on the actual trailer which reads
Unladden weight 900 kg maximum gross weight 3,000 kg
so looks like it will carry just over 2,000 of ' horse' My two were 600 and 650 kilo the pony 400 kilo toal 1,650 total laden weight .
Hope that helps, Always liked it woudn't swap it for a different one

It is an aluminimum body ours has a galvanised chassis so no rot at all .Wheel arches are composite . We replaced the floor when it was about 15 with a composite floor and replaced the shock absorbers which I think cost a few hundred (maybe about £500 along with changing the partitions from a Y set up to take 2 horses.
Ours is 25years old and looks good as new really smart and is a lovely trailer to tow horses love going in it practically run up the ramp.
