Need a hand in north Kent?

Hi,

I'm looking to get back into the horsey world and would like to offer a pair of capable (if admittedly somewhat rusty) hands to someone needing help with exercising/caring for their horse.

I can't offer any financial help but I'm reliable, good-natured and happy to help with stable duties. I have my own transport.

I'm 42, 5'6" and weigh just under 14 stone. I haven't ridden for a long time for various reasons - mostly financial - but I do have a lot of experience. I have 14 years riding experience but I have to admit I'll be a bit rusty so probably look like a sack'o'spuds to start off with, but I used to be a pretty good rider, although I was not particularly into competing. I worked at a showjumping yard for over a year and I also worked at a TB stud for 6 months when I first left school. I also had a 4 year old ArabX on loan for 2 years as a teenager. Horses like me and usually go well for me.

I'm mainly interested in hacking or some school riding right now to regain my 'horse-legs' but I'll also come along to groom for you at competitions if you want, and I don't mind doing those nasty winter mornings! Once I get back in practise I can help with schooling etc.

Anyone need a hand?

Hi where are you based? PM me if you would prefer. Im afriad i don't have a horse to offer as mine is turned out due to ongoing problems but im based at a riding for the disabled centre who are always looking for volunteers if that would interest you at all?
