Got the all-clear for SS to be worked according to her fitness rather than her feet after a year of recovering from laminitis on Thursday (15th Aug) & a saddle to ride her in.. For one of them to break the electric fencing this morning (19th Aug) - (by accident, I've surmised) & get out onto the path that lets other liveries walk their horses to their paddocks & into the long grass.
Rushed down before work, caught the escapees & put them in their stables for the day. Seemed like they hadn't been in there all that long. Mum called the vet to see if they thought it was likely SS would relapse into lami & checked her out after work, she doesn't appear to have any pain in her feet so we seem to have gotten away with it.
Fencing has been fixed & SS is staying in until tomorrow afternoon on her new diet of Fast Fibre & TopChop Lite by TopSpec & straw :p
Fingers crossed everything will be alright, but oh my, don't horses know how to give you a heart attack! Just as things seem to be getting back on a level after a long hard slog, my worst nightmare comes true!
Thankfully it wasn't any worse.

Thanks guys! I'm getting ready to go & see her now, keeping everything crossed. They really do know how to worry us. It's been a trying year already, could have done without this. Positive thinking/vibes needed! :p
