Hi I'm new here lol sorry for a ranting first post! but I desperately need a new livery yard asap! As it currently stands.I keep my mare at a really run down yard, no electrics, running water or even a menage! I was paying a good minimal price for field livery here, until winter came. The price in winter is normally £13 a week as there is hay put in the fields, but this year it has gone up to £18, which I wasn't happy about In the first place, only for me to go into the field to get my mare in, to see that the field was 'hayed' with mouldy, dusty wheat straw!! Which has just been at the back of the hay barm for months! I brought this up with the manager as my mare is not used to straw (nor are the other horses in the field) and I'm paying hell of a lot of money too keep my horse in a place like it is, for her to eat cack (frankly) with no nutritional value the straw, and it being mouldy, (white mould spores all over the stuff!) I was/am not happy esspecially as it might cause collic! next thing I know the yard owner is telling me I have such little knowledge of horses I should embarrass myself by putting on fb I'm an idiot that has no knowledge of horses & that I should apologize for worrying about what my horse was eating :/ I won't take this abuse from anybody!!! So I'm leaving asap, as the owner is now threatening to send people to my house to 'sort me out' I will claim harrasmemt if this does happen & I have the texts etc to prove these threats.
Any way, rant over, I need a yard asap in Lichfield/Burntwood/Rugely/anywhere which is decent priced for what they offer, unfortunately my mare is queen Stress-a-lot and won't allow herself to be stabled, its quite unfair to keep her in, but if needs must :/ I suppose I can attempt to keep her in
thank you
