if he's registered with NFPCBS he will already have a name...

hasn't he got a full passport? or is he part bred?

I had a NF colt who was registered as Fidleywood Marmite (he was by a Furzey Lodge out of a Fiddleywood). Don't know why he was named after the dam. We called him Nile Sebek (Nile for short) but now he is with his new owners he is called Marmite (because her husband is Neil and I think it got confusing. It's about time I rang them for a progress check actually...

he was named after the dam because of his breeders "prefix"...that is "their" mares identity.

if you look on the NFED website all the prefixes are there...along with who owns them, (the families who own the mares)
