Hello, I am trying to find some information about a apalossa stud/breeding farm that used to be in Devon approx 10-15 years ago as I am trying to find some information out about my mare. I used to have the name of the place and the stallion but unfortuntley lost the piece of paper n to research about it. If anyone knows anything that could help me I would be very gratefull!!
Thanks :)

Is the stallion's name on your mare's passport?

The girl who we bought her off in 2003 didn't give us her papers or passport (if she had one) and when we tried to contact her to get it she had moved to America. I put a advertisment in a magazine sayin history wanted a few years back and a lady rang up who had new my mare and gave me the stallions name and the place where she had come from but stupid me misplaced the piece of paper. I know that the stud was imported from America. If i seen the stallions name i would most probaly recognise it! its just so annoying would be nice to know her history and get hold of the papers!

Amazing Blue was American bred and might fit in with your horse date wise.

What is your mare's name?

As far as I am aware, the Callis didn;t import anything from the USA. Their main Appaloosa stallions were Cochice11, Sundance Kid and General Custer. If you'd like to know anything please PM me as I knew them well, but before they moved to Devon.
Hope the names ring a bell.

Have asked friend who is in to appys and she has come up with 3 stallions who she thought were American bred:
Bar d'or
Move Over Nugget
Silver Cloud Kestrel

and a stallion she couldn't remember the name but started Eagles Nest Ranch

I'm not sure of the situation regarding the Rowberton Stud now. Sadly the lady owner died and I'm not sure whether it continued as a stud.
