I'm so nervous I can't tell you.

I've got to phone up a lady in a few mins, about her grazing for my two - been recommended by my boss and her neighbour!
Here is what I know / history
* I've met her personally once before, this time last year. However, I don't think I'd be able to reconise her if she walked past me.
* She kindly told me that having three extra horses then wasn't possible due to the amount of sheep. I now have 2, and could class them as ponies.
* I've been told she has 40 acres, has two of her own horses, and lets the land off to sheep farmer.
* Also been told that she is looking for a person to help look after the place and get things tidied up. Perhaps this is an option in lu of some grazing?
* Her friend, my boss's neighbour has given me her number.
* My boss is my reference!

) My situation is getting dire, I feel even more nervous of going to look after my own horses, actually dread going in case I see father.
) Therefore KNOW I have to somehow get people to understand that I'm entirnally grateful for anything.

*) If I worried weight off about this, then I would be a rake!

So, how and what do I say? I feel so so nervous - never been like this before.

Any help - AND WHEN is the best time to call?

Ok, first of all take a deep breath and dont panic :)
It's just a phone call and the worst she can say is no...just explain what it is you are looking for and what you can offer in return (help on the land/financial etc.)
I'm sure you'll be fine, wishing you luck on finding somewhere soon! :)

Phone her now and say you've been given her number by so and so regarding grazing for your 2 ponies. Ask if she it is convenient to talk to her now and if not ask for a time that is better for her. If she's not in leave a answering machine message. You will be FINE! :) Stay calm and smile, that always makes people sound happy and nice :) Don't get into the nonsense with father, just keep it simple and say you're looking for grazing.
