Ok, so after finding that my partner (after a long list of mistrust issues) has hidden our relationship on fb it is finally done.

Now, we live together in his house and aside from the stress of moving my very settled horse from a yard we BOTH love i have a more pressing issue.. my dogs.
Finding a rental that takes dogs is a long process which is time i havent got, im not willing to rehome them as ive had them for 5 years.. boarding kennels are expensive and something that i really dont want to do..

Is there such a thing as a foster dog (thing) where people will look after dogs for you for a while whilst you sort yout life out? :-/

(some clever person reminded me this part of the forum exsisted and could help)

No real advice ad I suspect you are too far away but I feel your pain. I was stick living with my last BF as I couldn't find a property I could afford which accepted dogs and my mother refused to allow them to come with me if I moved in. I would never have left them so stayed put but she did change her mind and allowed me to move in with the dogs.
Do you have any friends or family that would help you out meantime?

Been there and done that :( I had a week to find somewhere for me, son and 3 doggies. I asked in my local pet shop and was told about a local lady who did this sort of thing, didnt advertise so you would never have known. She was fabulous with my 3 spaniels, had 2 of her own and was a completely mad old bat, but so kind and helpful. She looked after them for 8 weeks in total until I managed to find a rental I could afford. So, to answer your question, yes there is help out there but you might have to be a bit pro active and think outside the box to find the right person. Also, speaking as a lettings agent, dont be afraid to ask if dogs are accepted, whatever the advert might say. We have many landlords who will accept animals, they just dont advertise the fact, but for an otherwise good tenant its not a problem. Where abouts are you based, Im sure someone on here will be able to give you local advice or where to turn. Good luck, I know its a hateful situation to be in and extra stress which you could well do without :(

i know its hard finding rentals that take pets.

how many dogs do you have and what breed?

if you do need someone to look after them if your nan cant take them for long enough let me know i might know a friend who might look after them for you for a little while longer if needed.

good luck and let us know how it goes. x
