Good morning peeps - also in SY, didn't know where to put it

Charisma is currently fed Alpha A oil, Mole Valley working mix and 50ml seaweed. She is a laid back tb an although I know feeding cannot change her personality I would like to add something to pep her up a bit - she jumps well and has lovely rhythm for dressage but she can be a bit 'flat' and I have to really work hard to get her motivated!

I have looked into Naf EnerG/Propell Plus, but a friend of mine had also said that instead of that maybe try her on a Competition Mix.

I am confused - what would you suggest?

She is being ridden 5 days a week - schooling twice (one jump schooling) and three hacks. She is fit and looks healthy so I just want her with a bit of sparkle!

I'm going Mole Valley on lunch so any suggestions would be great!

Your tb sounds like my tb lol ... i recently tryed mine on 3kg of performance mix a day and it didnt really work, it just made him spooky and bucky tbh and was rather dear in the long run. Mines now on about 1kg chaff, 3kg conditioning cubes and soya oil and has enough energy without being a prun :p but all horses are different so id try a mix or oats and then if nothing then a supplement

My mum's warmblood is currently 1/2 way through his first bottle of NAF Energ and I think it's made a bit of a difference. Am going to try Propell next to see if I'm imagining it!

Thanks guys! It's such a minefield isn't it? I want whats best for her but also my pocket too, although she is laid back she is rather spooky so I need to find a happy medium :)

Uh! My horse is so lathargic, he does the work but never puts any more effort in than he absolutly has too!

I've tried competition mix (heavily oat based), and to be honest although I still feed it to give him enough energy, its not really having an affect on his motivation! (He'd much rather stand around asleep most hours of the day!). It may work for your horse, but I'm just saying for mine it doesn't really have an affect!

The only thing i've found that does wizz him up a little is fast soak sugar beet (such as speedy beat)...however this can make him a little 'too' over-exhuberant! I only want a happy medium so i'm still looking for something that works too! :(
