I'm on the hunt for some new long boots, currently I have a pair of the Tyne style muck boots which are still ok after 2 years but would quite like some new ones. I need them to be suitable for every day jobs at the yard like mucking out etc and as they can deal with a bit of mud (only our gateways get properly muddy) that's all i need them for really. I don't have a chance to ride much at the mo so it's not vital that they're suitable for riding.
I was looking at the ariat Windermere's. Anyone reccommend them?

Ariats are expensive but I love mine. Warm, waterproof, great to ride in. Worth the money. They look good, too.

It depends on how often you would wear them, I loved loved LOVED my grasmeres but I wore them all day every day and they only just about lasted a year. The sole came away from the boot due to the urine in wet straw etc from mucking out 16 horses a day and ariat wouldn't replace them as they are a "country boot" and not a "yard boot"
