Need quick advice!

Sorry, just needed to make a new post as I needed an answer fairly quickly becuase I am entering show tonight. I was looking at the showing classes and know nothing about them so..

I am entering the "Have a go" showing. I was thinking about the Racehorse to Riding Horse because it should basically be the same. Only thing I am not sure about is the trot up? Does it mean I have to get off/saddle off and trot him up? I dont want to make a fool of myself

Also, is gallop included - because I dont think Pete will gallop - will an active canter suffice?

Decided just to enter Have a go and see what he is like on the day/how many people enter. If he is going well I may enter him on the day.

Answer to the trot up section would be good though!

yes - normally strip horse ie take saddle off and trot up in hand - walk away from judge then turn back and trot towards/past them - nice and active

Depends on the judge, and they should tell you what format the class is going to take. If in doubt, don't be afraid to ask (have a quiet word with the steward). Unless you are likely to be called in first, don't panic, just do what everyone else does!
