poor mite shes had 2 put her in another stable block away from my horse.

do i put Ben in on his own with no company whatsoever or rug him and leave him out?? at old yard he didn't stable alone and resulted in him jumping stable door and going on box rest. he cannot go in the other box. i don't know if the horse is going on permanent stay there if so if he doesn't cope alone i will have to move him i don't know what to do hes got a blanket clip and loves his stable what should i do??

Put a rug on him and turn him out. He will have company, be warm and have been fed.

Its still mild, he only has a ablanket clip and a warm rug. Throw him out. No need to stable him unless its very cold (eg near freezing). Most people over rug and stable too much.

bring him in stroke his coat and feed then chuck back out!! its 14 degrees here! mine are hunter clipped with rain sheets on and still too hot! ground is still good as well! stabling is a human thing! he will be very happy out with friends!

Don't panic!! Horses live outside without rugs all the time naturally so rugged he will be absolutely fine!!

Mid way through winter one year, my mate had to throw her TB type out of his stable, he had a full clip including face and he had to live out, she rugged him well. He was that warm and full from the hay feeder, he wouldn't eat his feed, and looked the best he ever had done weight wise! He was a much happier horse and now lives out permanently all year round! xx
