This is a silly post and I even feel silly about posting this but, I'm moving up to he next class in SJ, unaffiliated. I've been clinging onto 95's for ages, and at home I have been jumping 1.20 courses and 1.40 single jumps, so I have no idea why im so worried about moving up to 1.05 in competitions! I'm going for my first 1.05 class this Saturday, we'll do the 95's and then the 1.05's, but I am just so worried! I don't know why!
Plus, as some of you may know, I ride in a Total Contact saddle, so I do get quite a lot of looks and some comments.
This venue is a bit bigger and posher than the usual ones I go to so i'm even more worried about what people will say!
Please can someone just give me a slap and tell me to get on with it, because I think i'm being silly but I can't stop it!

You can do it, your horse can do it, you can even do it with little or no saddle!! I can't do that nor I'm sure can many others, so go show them all just what you can do!! Good Luck :)

You will be fine, and nothing unusual in worrying about something new, I do it all the time, and then wonder afterwards why I was so worried
Try and enjoy yourself and when you have done it the feeling of achievement will be well deserved

You are probably getting some admiring comments. Riding in a total contact to the uninatiated (me!) looks hard!

I really should just get on with it and stop worrying!
Last time I competed I got a comment ''omg, poor poor horse, why would you do that to your horse'', she did jump a clear round nicely with her ears up at all time, I personally didn't feel as if I rode that badly and I don't use whips or spurs so it was quite a hurtful comment :(

You're doing the 95 class right?
So concentrate on that, something you know you can do.

Then see how you feel afterwards.
If she does really well (as I'm sure she will), you'll be far less nervous at the time.

Look at it this way as you have entered, do they take you out and shoot you if you withdraw on the day if you really don't feel right about it?
This SJ is hard if so, no surrender.:D
