Okay, so im going showing for the first time!:D
I need a lot of help...

I need something i can wear for all my classes, its a little local unaff so nothing serious. The horses i ride are a mix of colours breeds and sizes..
Im doing m&m, riding horse, family mount, coloured class ect depending on the horses.

So i know i need beige jods and a tweed.. But what kind of tweed is nice for all?
cream shirt, what colour tie?
Should i wear short boots with clips when im showing ponies?
lastly, can i get away with black hat gloves and boots? I really dont want to buy brown and a navy hat because its so £££ :( is that going to really affect scores?

Our tack is brown and will be in snaffles with plain dark numnah. We may use a velvet browband in some classes.

please help me! Is this all okay? I need load of advice :D

I like a nice green tweed but I don't really know as I don't know what colour your horses are
Adults on m and ms wear long boots and tie if small breed but at local shows they tend to be less picky. Is your numnah (and it must be a numnah and not a saddle cloth) the same colour as your saddle? If not you will need to go without or find a better match.

HTH
And good luck

Green tweed is the smartest- there's a reason you don't see pros in those grey or blue tweeds regardless of horse... Nice bright tie, canary or red works. If it can match your velvet browband that's a good idea!

Is this a local level show? If it is, just look smart with what you have by being as clean and tidy as you can be. Showing is all about conformity and trying to fit a certain image as well as possible, and the rider's outfit helps this fitting in. But the horse is what matters so your black hat and gloves really won't matter.

Sorry i ride lots of horses so we have coloureds, chestnuts, bay, black.. That is why its sooo hard to decide on a tweed!
Ive just turned 16 and we have ponies of 13hh so i thought junior dress may be more appropriate? And yup my numnah is brown!
Thankyou:D

If you're riding a pony you dress a pony rider, so short boots are correct :) And green tweed, always- or maybe a nice brown. Never grey or blue, they look very second-hand PC IMO...

Sounds like fun :) my green tweed looks really nice with my bay and chestnut ponies. Though as long as your ponies are nice and clean I don't think anyone will mind. You can get some good stuff second hand if you are worried about the price of some of it. But I wouldn't worry too much my sis does loads of different types of events in a silver show jacket and white jods and no one seemed bothered, if you're having fun I think it shows :)
