Hi,

I'm looking for a trailer - as big as possible - to house a 16.2hh TB and a 16.3hh TB x hanoverian. Will be pulled by a Shogun, so weight not too much of an issue, but as light as possible.

It must have front unload and if possible a tack locker/somewhere for tack to go. Can't really afford brand new, but would like something newish.

Any recommendations?

I've just bought a lovely Richardson Supreme Ultra. Had a Richardson Supreme 2000 before & they are really nice. My mare is 16.3 & very long. I have 2 saddle racks in the front which doesn't interfere with horse at all (not box outside - though I believe you can get those as an extra). It is higher, wider & longer than my old one & I would highly recommend it. We pull with a Disco. Don't know where you are but Bearts of Stowbridge have new & second hand - they sell Richardson, Ifor, Bateson, Equitrek, etc.

Light, airy, tows like a dream & accomodates 2 large horses of the size you have......Bateson

They hold their value very well also.

I do like the look of the Bateson Deauville - so glad to know it's a good trailer to use/pull etc. Doesn't seem to be many around second hand though...

Definately go for an ifor williams, if you ever want to sell it on again in the future it will hold its value the best, but make sure if it s second hand that it has a metal rather than wooden floor!

Ifor Williams 510 for my 16.3hh. Shop around, I got mine from Devizes Trailer Centre who do them much cheaper than anyone else, I could probably sell it now (I've had it three years) for not much less than I paid for it new.
