Need to find a new riding school

When I'm in Hertfordshire I occasionally go to a large riding school in the North London area.... but I've just discovered they've set a new weight limit of 13st..... which as a 6 foot bloke I'm over by at least one stone.

Anyone know any schools in Herts that I can go to from time to time which have reasonable horses and a higher weight limit ???

I tend to ride flatwork, not looking for jumping.

Talk to them. I'm over the official weight limit for a few of the yards I use but they know me, know I carry myself and I am uber conscious of what I ask the horse to do (to the point I really should be getting after them a bit more! lol) so they let me on.

I did (on the phone). Problem is that it's such a big place that you get a different instructor on each lesson, and not always the same person manning reception.

Sorry can't offer any help as not my neck of the woods but 13st limit in my opinion is too low it's silly like you say you're a tall bloke so for lots of tall people thats daft!

Yup, they'll cut out a lot of their adult male riders.... probably some of the females too...
