Need to get over letting someone else ride my horse...

You may have seen in my other tread that I'm 27 weeks pregnant and thinking I've got to give up riding

Thing is I don't want my horse to not have any work as she is barefoot and I'd like to keep up the amount of work she has also keep her fit!

I have a friend who's horse is in foal and I trust completely, she's a very good rider and would look after my horse I'm sure, then there is someone else who has a youngster and we share the looking after of our horses (morning turnout, holidays etc) and I'm sure she'd like a horse to ride too.

So my problem is? My horse is so precious to me and I'm bad for thinking of what could go wrong even though she's a very safe horse with no issues except being quite keen out hacking!

Argghhh! I need to get over myself and let people help me for my horses sake right?!!!

It's natural to feel protective about your horse so don't beat yourself up about it. If you weren't happy with how she was going with one of your friends riding her at least you have the option to turn her away if needs be. Give it a go, you can always call a halt to things if they are not working out.
