my 4 yr old has been having trouble with canter and he hasc ome on no end since i got him, but i think part of his problem is that he has a realy long strided canter which i think (i may be wrong) is why he finds it harder
he finds circles hard because he has to shorten

As he muscles ups and grow, it will improve. Being four, he is still very young and is bound to be unbalanced. Alot of transitions in all paces to build him up, and help him find his balance will help, and keeping shapes big and relaxed until he sorts his own balance out. Don't keep in canter too long, keep it in short bursts so he doesnt have chance to get stung out and unbalanced. Good luck, but keep patient and it will come!
