We have terrible midges - those nasty little black ones which stick in and stay there. They drive the horses mad and we struggle to find anything to keep them off. Someone has suggested Neem oil, but one of the horses is a broodmare. I have researched online into Neem and see it can help stop flies from breeding, but also that it is used in humans to stop fertility and induce abortion so I am somewhat reluctant to use it anywhere near breeding horses. Can anyone shed any more light?
