Neglect update.

pluto weight wise is doing great! he looks a different horse, the rug rubs are also getting better, no heat in them now, and tiny bits of hair growing, hes also started to moult, and the wirery feel his coat had is less so.

unfortunatley in himself hes still not the same horse, but i know that will take time, i have bought another horse, that has also gone through a bad loan, that he will be turned away with, the plan him is to keep him and the newby at the yard, as they will get more people contact and the other 2 will go to a field where my nearest sand school is (about 3 mins away) which makes exersisiing easier, i needed to split them as i dont want to over graze my field, and my mare hates pluto with a passion, she dosnt kick but chases him.

the rspca are now investigating, ive had statements done from the previous owner, farrier, and livery yard owner, the rspca contacted my vet them selfs. i should hear from them next week so fingers crossed. they have actually been good.

theres a few really odd things that dont add up about where he was kept, but i think its a case of im just never going to know!

I glad he is getting better and things are getting done about it. It is lovely of you to get another horse that has had a bad life.

well i wasnt looking, but at 300 he was a bargin, he skinny and a nervous reck, lucky he was home bred so know all his history, and as a 7 yr old hes still a baby,

it bacome a debate on separting them, and with the 3 i couldnt win, snappers got a bond with max, but take snapper out and max and pluto have there old bond back. so either way one of them was going to suffer and i didnt want that,

so this way can completley seperate them and give them all what they need.

im happy i have a case, its the proving it thats going to be hard.

Pleased to hear he is improving bodily. Like you say, mentally, it will take time. Hope the case goes well for you, we need more successful prosecutions for animal abusers.
