I havent been up to the horses for a few days as ive been very very sick. OH has been going up for me and sorting them out. He told me 2 days ago that Mae has a small bald patch on her face and he put my powder on her and will do until im well enough to come back up again.
Went up today to see them, but still too weak to do anything. However decided to give Mae a wee groom while OH cleans out. Was doing maes neck when i noticed a huge bald patch behind the ears, OH said he didnt notice it but would have been covered with her long thick mane.
Put powder on it and went and phoned the vet. While i was up the gf of the guy who owns the neglected ponies arrived and was being really nice to me. Said that she had closed her 2 in my shed 3-4 days ago as someone had their horse in the arena. It explains the bald patches on mae as she would be the only one who would put her nose to them. Of course i was really annoyed. Said nicely that while her horse has that bald patch then shes best to keep them away from other horses, she agreed, said she didnt think.
The patches are getting worse even with the louse powder going on, cant find anything on her, hope the vet can get out quickly as i feel useless.
