I'm having a complete nervous mum moment... My 9yr old has hone out on her first hack without me!!

She's gone with another livery ( adult) and her horse.

It's the first time my daughters gone out without someone on foot with them and without me.

My daughters owned her pony for 2 yrs and is a very sensible little girl - I trust her/ pony/ livery 100%

She's looking forward to a canter up the woods.....

I'm sat at home working and waiting for the text to say there back at yard.... Got butterflies in my tummy!!!

Bit of a pointless post!!

Tea and cake to anyone reading!

When my mum started letting me out on my own (prior to that she'd come with me on her bike- and I was 16 and had passed my r&r safety) she would appear all of a sudden round a corner in the car- she'd go out to the shops and then wonder how far I'd got round my ride. Unfortunately for her she always went one bend too far and I'd catch her :D

So well done on you for not stalking!

Err I must admit that if I didn't have three other children with me that I childmind for then I may well of been out in my car having a drive past / lurk at points of the ride where I could see them!!! Lol

There is only one Person in the world more nervous than you.... The adult taking her out..... I'm a mum and I also take out someone else's daughter , my little one is too little yeast three and only just sitting on for a ride in from field

I'm very lucky that the livery is happy to take her- like you say it's a big responsibility to take someone else's child out!

In my head I've ridden the route there riding step by step!!! Lol

So as soon as finished work I whizzed to the yard.. 10 mins later they arrived back. My daughter had a grin a mile wide! Apparently it was the best ride ever!! With several long canters...

I think I'm redundant on foot now!
