Nervous re loaning my horse- its happening at the weekend.....

My horse is going on loan at the weekend and I'm very nervous! Would you allow the loaner to pick him up rather than deliver him myself if we go with them to make sure he is ok?

I am really scared in case it doesn't work out! I hope hes going to be ok!

I love him to bits but I just don't ride in a style to suit him.

I don't really matter how he gets to his new yard but I woulkd definately go with them & see that he settles in ok.....I presume that you've already inspected where he's going to?

Yep- looked round- its lovley, new outdoor arena- all weather, brand new HUGE stables, rubber matting on floors and wall, rubber matting on floor in all grooming and washing areas, post and rail fencing- great!
Super security as well.

If thats where hes going I would have nothing to worry about , is it far from where you are now ? Are the loanees going to allow you to visit ?

It about a 15 min drive away- not far.

yep I would allow them to collect and then follow them! - sure horsey will be fine, just visit regularly and unannounced, any decent owner/horse lover will understand why you need to intially whilst trust is being built up. x
