Since I'm losing half my bloomin rubber out of the side of my school am thinking of putting the netting on the fence - but what is it and where do I get it? Lol arena dumb ass

Assuming you are post and rail all the way round, the most effective, but a pain in the backside to do, would be to make frames and double the netting over the frame, then fix to the post and rail. You don't want the netting to turn into a flappy sail.

The wind breaker fabric is fairly flimsy and will rip. There's the next stage up called extruded mesh (also wind breaker) which is stiffer and harder. That might work well. It'll work out about £100 for a 50m x 1.5m roll which you could cut into 30 strip. 50cm would be a perfect height. It's stiff enough that you'll prob not need batons (which will seriously bump the price up) if your arena fence posts aren't too wide apart.

Can highly recommend Galebreaker. Good customer service on the phone, prompt delivery and not as expensive as I thought it would be. We were going to put in a second kick board to help stop losing rubber when we built my arena, but decided to get the galebreaker netting which was cheaper and now really pleased as it will be a lot more effective over the years.
I think the dark green looks quite smart too.

We used the scaffold debris netting - quite reasonable price and close weave.

Our arena is post and rail so we stapled it to the top rail whilst we got roofing battens to screw over it. Then we screwed the battens over it onto the kickboards at the bottom edge and tight against each post. It has made a tremendous improvement to our wild and windswept arena.
