nettles & weeds oh my

What can I do about them in my horses field? Is there anything I can use to spray them and not kill the grass? How long does the horse have to stay out of the field?

My horse eats the nettles so I dont worry about things like that lol x.

I cut nettles, dry them then feed!

You need to spray in the spring, speak to your local ag merchant who will advise you.

Grazon 90 will kill most things except grass, it will be most effective in the spring when new growth starts. I think they recommend keeping animals off it for 2 weeks - not 100% sure but it says on the bottle.

nettles, dock leaves, some creeping stuff with flowers you name it we have it!

Sheep are the best weed killers but if you cant use them then grazon 90 has been good for us

If you strim them regularly they will give up the ghost.

cut the nettles and make them into a nettle tea and feed that to your horses....good for laminitics and also just a good tonic for non lamis!

Cut the docks and nettles and leave them to wilt. Your horse will hoover them up and the rest will get mullered and die over the winter and then come spring you can treat them with Grazon or Agritox which will kill the weeds but not the grass (at the correct dose).
