Neue Schule team up bit. sizing?

Hi all

I am about to order a NS Team up from the bit from the bit bank and deciding on size. A friend told me they come up small, my boy is normally a 5.5" so do I need to order the 5.75"?

I have a 5.5 one a horse who is normally 5.5 fits perfectly, also have 5.25 on a mare who is normally 5.25 again perfect.

I think NS bits are on the small side. I have a 5.5 Team Up in front of me now and from bit ring to bit ring at max stretch, it measures 5 3/8" . If you measure a bit that you know fits your horse well, you can compare.

Hmmn that is what I had noticed. A 5.5 fits him fine but I definitely wouldnt want to go any smaller. I will measure it and double check...thats a good idea.

mine is a 5 but the 5.25 fits him perfectly

I just bought an NS bit and I went for 1/4" inch bigger than I usually would - the normal size would definitely have been too small for her.

Haven't got a team up but I've got a NS starter in a 5.75 if you want to try it for size.
