D2 gave up riding about eighteen months ago - Little Lad dumped her just once too often :(. She lost her nerve and her interest in horses, though would still help out with the neds :)

Today I had a lesson on Dizz, then Friend's daughter had a wee walk round on her (she has her own pony, but she is keeping New Lad company in the field for two weeks); then D2 asked if she could sit on Dizz! :D Took her off for a walk round and didn't want to get off :D

And just to prove what a stressy DWB she really is... :D

She looks right at home up there :) (and hey I want one of those jackets, they look rather police-like and must get drivers' respect?)

Ta hun :D. It is brill to see her :D. I can't push it, but she's said she'd like to do it again (only on Dizz though :D). I ride Dizz most mornings and both daughters go with me, so hopefully she will get on for a few minutes each day.... :D :D :D

Hey Mrs M

Tip for you as used by my sage old trainer with me as a confidence booster and basically to trick me into riding each day!

After he had done a training session on Vardi he used to say "can you please just hop up for me and cool him down just 20 mins of walking and circling" "I don't have time and have to be doing X"....how could I say no!

that then went into "oh can you give him 10 mins of light jog then walk today"

Within a month without even realising it I was riding for 30 mins a day with the benefit of he had always been worked so was happy to just do as he was told.

D2 looks great up there. Fingers crossed.

Thankies all :D

I'm hoping that she'll be kind enough to cool Dizz off for me - D2 goes with me every morning to watch me ride (getting up at five-thirty to do so! :)), so there is hope :D

D2 does indeed have a natural seat and hands (argh! Not jealous lol). Was a bit gutted when she gave up :(, but maybe, with time... ;):D:D

Ta re. the Dizzy one :D. She's getting there :D. Makes me work for it though lol :p:D

Ta hun :D

She's been on again, and when someone asked her yesterday if she is riding these days she didn't say 'Oh no!', which had become her usual response :D. She said she wants to stick to Dizzy though :) :)

thats great to see.

i can also vouch for the stealth approach, i refused to ride again after a nasty fall & Angua2 & Faro stitched me up with a nice old clothcat (miss you Durarde) & a "quiet" hack (Hmmmm!!!!!)

now i have 2 small welshies i am rebacking & loving it, even it it has taken over 12 years to get there.
