My ex has just bought another dog following the death of his previous dog Candy who I wrote about following her death in March last year and who is dearly missed.
He is now the proud owner of Summer a beautiful 2 year old apricot and white beagle bitch, who he collected from Beagle Welfare in Wales yesterday. She is settling really well and we took her with us with the horse for a vets visit last night, and she was great with Bailey, didnt bat an eyelid. The vet said she was a lovely looking dog, very puppyish looking still, but nice and fit and an excellent weight so that was nice. We took the horse back to the yard and then stopped at the chipy and then took Summer for a walk round the grounds of the local riding club and sat eating fish and chips on the grass, it was a lovely evening.
My ex said shed just fallen asleep in her crate in the car on the way back from Wales, no mess or sick, very well behaved, would sit up every now and then to look out the window before lying down again. Last night before I left she was haring round the garden with her toy which shes almost demolished so Im off to treat her to a KONG from Pets at Home tonight and hoping it might last a bit longer!
I will post a photo as soon as I am able to. Here is the link if anyone is thinking of rehoming a beagle.
