To anyone that compete's agility, my border collie has never had a problem with the weaves, i bought a set last year just before the kennel club changed the spacing , now at shows he is coming out at weave 10 , anyone else having the same issue ? , seems people at shows are, not all dogs but some are struggling, thinking of selling my weaves and getting the new one's.
Bit frustrating and costly but will be training our new dog next year also so might be worth changing them .

It is possible to have the old spacing weaves modified to the new spacing. It's been discussed on the agilitynet facebook page many times. £60 to have them changed is a price that springs to mind. Why not go on fb and ask, stating the area you area you live - someone will help and it's cheaper than buying a new set. Is your dog coming out of the weaves early because he/she is sensing you are getting ready to move to the next jump etc. Try holding back a fraction longer till your dog is completing the last weave. My dog will come out early if he senses I'm about to go without him!

I have smalls, I think they should have left the weave spacing as was at least for them. Not easy for my widdley JRT to weave through a 2ft gap!

Can't see why they felt the need to change it.

They changed the spacing so that our weaves were the same as international (FEI ? ) competitions. This means that team GB are not at a disadvantage when we compete at world and european championships that are held under the international rules.
