So... After a whirlwind few months with lots of changes... I've welcomed Rooni to the Sparkle Fold :)

He's a dinky WB (Eton x Sandro Hit x Weltmeyer) and I adore every bit of him including his pig eye and floppy fro!

Whilst the passport may say 5yo, he's capable of no more than WTC in varying potato shapes alike a 3yo but he's such a cool boy. Loads of fun to ride. We've started hacking and have done some jumping in hand.

He's had his teeth done tonight and needed a lot of work, will recap on that in 3 months time.

But, my heart is singing the dressage tune once more... I think he's going to be mega <3

He's got a swing and suppleness that I've never felt before and I love his attitude to work, he's very buzzy!

I simply can't wait to get him out and about, but there's a ton of work to do first. He's a very blank canvas :)

And of course my king, Mr Fig... Still settling into the hacking life well! We went bareback round a local track the other day in company and he was just FAB.

Dragged him (hah) into the school for some gratuitous matchy pictures. It's just exercise for him now (can't believe I thought he had dropped weight!) but it honestly feels like he was schooled just the day before, all the buttons are still there, begging to be pressed!

A quick 20 minutes and lots of pats for this special man. I really do owe him loads.

Lots of fun to be had with both these boys <3

Goodness, new boy looks a bit flashy!
Have fun getting him up and going, you sound excited

I'm not surprised you are excited by Rooni, he is a real beauty. I hope you have a lot of fun with him.

Ooh Rooni looks smashing (although name makes me think of a much less appealing footballer). His 3 year old potato shapes look better than my 14year olds!

Gorgeous Figgy and Rooni is going to be just as special. Now have that football chant in my head - earworm Roooooni Rooooni

p.s. how dinky is dinky?

I love that you're hacking Fig loads now and even bareback - I think its brilliant. I will join you in the 'Hacking Thoroughbreds wearing inappropriate tack' club - I was hacking Skye in a headcollar and reins instead of a bridle when she rubbed her mouth a few weeks back.

Looking forward to following the next chapter of your dressage journey - really doesn't seem that long ago you posted pictures of a wee skinny ex racer in the first throws of matchy matchy ;)

Fig is the best at inappropriate exercise! Could get on him in a rug and headcollar. Just not in a group on grass lol!

Rooni is 16.1hh on his tippy toes. He's a lovely light build so does look super dinky but takes my leg up nicely. Besides, with how weedy Fig was and how thick he is now, I'm confident we'll work well together. I simply adore riding him.

Today we did this:

What a star <3

No, Nova has been sold to a home where he can excel in a lower pressure environment. I'm getting updates on him and he seems to have settled well which I feel happy with :)
