Hi,

We have taken in a new cat - 9yo female to foster with us for 2 years.

I have a male and female cat and 2 male dogs.

She hissed and went for all of them when she first arrived, which i expected, in 2 weeks she is now almost fine with the dogs (altough one wont go near her) and she doesn't tend to bother with my female cat as she will sit and stand her ground growling at her.

The problem is with my male cat, because he is wary of her when she meows at him he will meow back and panic and then she goes for him, he runs off which makes it worse as she then chases him, my boy will no longer sleep upstairs and stays with the dogs, i don't want him upset and put out of place as this is his home. New cat has also gone for one of next doors cats in thier garden!

With people she is lovely, very friendly and always purring.

Any suggestions on what to do?

I don't know how you introduced them but you I think you will need to go back and start again. A lot of people just chuck them in together but that doesn't help at all. I will add a few links that will say what I would say but without my slow typing!

If you google you will find lots of ideas. Take it slow and it will be much quicker.
