New companion pony but what breed is he?

Well after the drama of losing Rufus last week i have a new companion for Donna. Everybody meet Blue Ronnie or Ron for short.

Have been discussing his breeding with a friend but not sure what he is, his passport says Newforst x

What do you guys think?

He looks like New Forest with a bit of Connemara thrown in

My first thoughts when I looked at the photo, (before I read the post ), was New Forest. Is he registered as a partbred NF ? It could be the case that his dam was an unregistered, but pure bred, New Forest running out on the forest, and sired by a fully reg NF Stallion. (Only a small amount of Selected NF stallions go out on the forest for a few weeks in spring/early summer)
What type of passport does he have ? If either of his parents is a fully registered NF, he would still be eligible for a New Forest Pony Breeding And Cattle Society (NFPB&CS) passport. (My fully reg forest bred pony has a Green NFPB&CS passport).
He looks full NF, but it's very possible one parent was not registered .
He wouldn't be eligible to be shown in classes for Registered M&M though as he is partbred).

No he is not registered unfortunately. He just had a pet ID passport

I have him on loan from a friend of mine, he is an ex competition pony but he had a tendon injury which ended his competition career. He also has a few sarcoids 2x flat ones and 1 nodular one. But these have not changes for 4 years. Because of this the poor pony ended up with a dealer who is well known as having a bad reputation (for those of you who have seen previous post of mine, he has been through the same dealer as my mare).

He was bought through Exeter horse sales by my friend 4 years ago as it was the meat man bidding against her.

He can be a little sharp when ridden and is only suitable for light ridden work because of the injury. His passport a pet id one which was done by the dealer before going into the horse sale and doesn’t even have his age in.

The vet has said that he is about 16 years old. and is 13.3h but when shoes on he rides like a 14hh pony

He looks like he has some welshie in him to me too, most likely B as he is quite finely built.
